Overview:
Our greatest desire is that God would use Camp West for His glory in bringing people to him in evangelism and discipleship. Our prayer is that this occurs both in the retreats we host and the summer camps we operate for children and youth. For good reason, we qualify the types of organizations that may use this facility to those who are best described as 'Bible believing'. In other words, they are churches and ministries that believe the Bible to be God's inerrant and inspired word, and live out their lives in regards to what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that all groups that use this camp are in total agreeement on all issues. But on the basics of biblical orthodoxy, we must agree. Affiliations, Ownership, Denominations... Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je West is an independent ministry, not affiliated with any one church or denomination, and not owned by any group, individual, or church. The camp has been a ministry of trust for the past 32 years, continuing to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the Bible as the cornerstone of this ministry. Within the context of the camps and events we sponsor, we place a priority on the teaching of the Bible. Books, methods, and fads come and go. The Word of the Lord abides forever. We shun emergent church teachings and any other fad doctrine or system that seeks to redefine the church away from what is clearly taught in the Bible.
