Overview:
Executive Chef/Owners Jean-Pierre and Kerri Simon established their first restaurant, Jean-Pierre's Chattery Down, in 1988 in the heart of the State Capital in downtown Olympia. Jean-Pierre has been featured in Northwest Best Places since 1988 as well as being featured in numerous local and national publications. Jean-Pierre's was established in the spring of 1996 in the historical home of Mr. Adolf Schmidt. This historical landmark, built in 1908, has been transformed into an elegant formal dinner setting with charm and intimacy. Jean-Pierre's was voted in by The Tumwater Historical Committee to be placed on The City of Tumwater Historical Registry in the year 2000. Jean-Pierre's was voted Most Romantic Restaurant and Best Non-Movie Date by South Sound Readers in 1998 and the only full service restaurant to receive the coveted 5 Fork Rating by The Olympian Food Critic in 1998. | |
