Overview:
The main people in Jhai Foundation are the kids. We're serious about this. The Lao people we work with look at everything we do as much as possible from the vantagepoint of the next generation. We follow suit. On any given week up to 125 people volunteer on our project, too. These people work at things they enjoy, usually at the top of their skill levels. We have farmers, attorneys, businesspeople, accountants, graphic designers, website designers, database management experts, construction workers, computer program trainers, agricultural experts, small business developers, coffee tasters, coffee industry experts, clerical workers, bankers, warehousemen, procurement specialists, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, food industry technologists, weavers, engineers, telecommunication specialists, well-diggers, teachers, and non-profit management experts - among others - working on our project. Of these about 1/4 are vets. The rest are folks from around the world who want to lend a hand. We have an official advisory board, too. This group includes a project management engineer and development specialist, an investment banker, three highly trained nurses, a vets program director, a farmer, computer experts, a psychologist, three medical doctors, two priests, business executives, and a former high executive of Applied Materials Corporation.
