Overview:
Elkhorn Federal Credit Union f/k/a Fort Harrison VAF Federal Credit Union was established as an organization by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) on July 8, 1935. Our Charter Number is 495. On April 5, 2001, the NCUA approved our name change from Fort Harrison VAF FCU to Elkhorn FCU. On May 12, 1999, Elkhorn FCU acquired by way of merger a smaller credit union located in Helena, Montana called "Montana Employment Security FCU." The date of this merger was effective May 12, 1999. Upon Elkhorn FCU's application in June 2001, the NCUA approved our community charter on November 16, 2001. Elkhorn Federal Credit Union can now serve any resident of the following counties: Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Powell. |
