Overview:
We partnered with Good Neighbors Work Camp for the week. They did an amazing Job of keeping everyone coordinated, as well as effective. On each site they had a site leader, as well as at least one other Good Neighbors staff (that meant there were at least 2 people that knew what they were doing). When our team met our site leader, Bob, he greeted us by saying, "I am going to be your best friend and your worst nightmare". I wasn't sure what to make of that. There were really two main parts to the weekend. The "outside" (the work we did for others) and the "inside" (time spent with each other with a focus on God). With temps often over 95 and high humidity, the outside was exhausting. We drove to West Grove every day to help with home repairs on Mrs. Eleanor's home. By home repairs, I mean, extreme makeover.
