| Overview: In 1982, ABM designed Data Command Center (DCC) to facilitate the operation of a central station. DCC collected signals presented by a variety of receivers, deciphered each signal into the appropriate information, and determined the nature and urgency of any required response. The system then presented the event to the operator, with all information necessary to process the event. DCC also provided a wide range of information management and reporting options. Using DCC as a template, we created a single-user, DOS-based system, called ABM-PC, that provided a solution for small central stations and the proprietary market. ABM was also the first to develop a complete line of integrated business management software tailored to handle the unique needs of security companies. In 1995, ABM designed and developed the first alarm automation product for the Microsoft Windows environment. The result, after two years of development and testing, was the Phoenix product. Our first customer went live in July of 1997. We are quickly approaching our 6th year with the Phoenix product line. ABM Data Systems was acquired by Ultrak, Inc. in early 1999. In December of 2002, Ultrak restructured to remain competitive in the security industry, which resulted in the sale of the CCTV business to Honeywell and a change of the corporate name to American Building Control, Inc.
