Overview: Located in North Central Texas near Sweetwater, the 5F GAME RANCH offers 5 square miles of game-managed, genetically enhanced whitetail deer, feral hogs, turkey, bobwhite quail, dove, pheasants, aoudad sheep, black buck antelope and scimitar horn oryx. A perimeter game fence was implemented at the 5F GAME RANCH in 1996. We refer to the hunts as "Managed Fair Chase". There are no cross game-fences to keep the trophies contained in a small kill pasture. The wildlife utilizes over 3,000 acres of cedars, oaks and mesquites to evade your hunting skills. The combination of brush and trees in a landscape of low rolling hills and ravines provide the game plenty of natural cover. Hunters who think this is not fair chase should bring either a fast horse or binoculars to view the wildlife as they elude your hunting efforts. The 5F GAME RANCH conducts professionally guided hunts with a civilized sense of respect for the dignity of our magnificent animals. Hunters have the option of hunting from large and comfortable blinds that protect you from winter storms or cold frosty mornings. In addition, you may choose to follow your guide across the ranch to stalk your trophy or enjoy the excitement of rattling up a huge buck. Each of these techniques takes more skill and has an added level of excitement as you stalk the game on their own turf. A 2 day class in the lost art of "stalking deer" and "planning successful deer hunts" is offered at the ranch... |
