Overview:
Big Sky Somatic Institute (BSSI) was founded in October 1995, by Ron Floyd and Jennifer. We sought to continue the circle and legacy of healing and community available thru skilled human touch that had become so much a part of our lives. We began our own somatic journeys in 1989 with the prestigious International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB, formally Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing) in San Diego. We assisted teaching the IPSB Level One trainings offered in Montana 1993 thru 1995. Students began to request we explore how they could continue their education with affordable, high quality, comprehensive and easily accessible professional massage and bodywork training programs here in Montana. We responded by seeking to develop a program that would meet those needs and fulfill their dreams.
