Overview:
In 2000, Mr. Hines caught the attention of Philip Civins, Associate Producer for the TBS / Turner South baseball broadcasts. Mr. Civins immediately took to ScorePAD, and used the software for all 162 Atlanta Braves games that season. Recognizing the potential value of the product, Mr. Civins partnered with Mr. Hines and assisted in the development of ScorePAD to become the most in depth and accurate baseball software available for Palm OS-based PDAs. In late 2000, ScorePAD took a great step forward by landing a contract with TBS Superstation and Turner South to facilitate their live, in-game statistics. In 2002, Fox Sports Net, who shows more than 2,000 games in over 20 regional broadcasts for Major League Baseball joined the ScorePAD family. The 2003 season saw an addition of two more Major League giants: Fox and the YES Network. After the 2003 season was complete, ScorePAD had supported over 4,000 telecasts worldwide. Along with these large cable broadcasts, ScorePAD Sports has plans to present in-game scoring displays for local MLB broadcasts in 2004. ScorePAD has also taken a significant presence with youth and amateur leagues across the United States. The Babe Ruth League, with over 800,000 members, recognizes ScorePAD as their official scorekeeping system for their World Series Events.
