Overview:

J. E. Kingham Construction Company is owned and managed today by the four sons of J. E. Kingham. Jim, Tom, John and Bob Kingham began their careers with the company at the age of thirteen, working on job sites as they progressed from laborer, helper and to the trades while attending local public schools and college. The company is their life work. It has been the only employer the brothers have known. Jim, the oldest of the brothers, began working for the company in 1961 and today serves as president and chief executive officer. He is responsible for directing the work of the estimators, project managers and staff in the company's home office. After graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University , Mr. Kingham served as job superintendent while training younger brothers, Tom and John, during their college days at SFA. He soon moved to the home office where he trained as an estimator and project manager under the direction of his father. Since 1980, Mr. Kingham has served the company as head of negotiating, estimating and managing for more than 450 construction projects with a total value in excess of $700 million. Tom, John and Bob began their careers with the company in 1965, 1967 and 1974 respectively. Each serves, today, as vice-president and general superintendent in charge of all field operations.
