Overview:
SeaCAS, LLC, located in the Seattle area, is commited to helping boaters improve their safety and avoid collisions at sea. SeaCAS products represent superior engineering, design and ease of implimentation. SeaCAS' flagship product, the SeaCAS SafePassage AIS, was developed by a team of engineers headed by Fred W. Pot, president of SeaCAS, LLC, in partnership with Meteor Communications Corporation, Inc. and Engenium Technologies, Inc. Using the Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology, the SeaCAS AIS100 provides boaters with real-time, safety-critical information about nearby commercial sea vessels. Mr. Pot has an extensive background in the commercial marine industry both in Europe and North America . Since 1999, Mr. Pot has helped lead efforts to define international standards for AIS and its use in collision avoidance at sea. He is a member of two delegations to the United Nations. These delegations are responsible for developing worldwide standards for 'Class B' AIS transponders, and for developing international standards for navigation displays that integrate AIS with radar, ECDIS, GPS and other sensors. Mr. Pot received his Master's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands , and an MBA from Stanford University.
