It was formed as a joint venture between Deeyem Exports based in Karur, India and S & V Industries Inc. based in Akron, Ohio. Deeyem Exports was founded in 1990 and over the years became a leading supplier of home furnishings to exporters in India. Over the years Deeyem has developed a core competency in cost effective manufacturing, quality compliance and timely delivery of products. S & V Industries Inc. incorporated in 1993 to market and distribute engineering products has become one the largest importers of engineering products from India. S & V Industries has developed a core competency in marketing, MRP Systems, logistics, warehousing and just in time distribution of products from India and China into the USA. S & V Athena Texiles LLC was formed to take advantage of the core competencies of both of the organizations and apply it to the Home Furnishing spectrum. Most importantly being located in the USA, and staffed with people with more than 20 years of experience in the textile business, S & V Athena Textiles LLC has a keen understanding of the design expectations of the US customer, and brings the "ability to design" to the company. | |
