Hilden America, Inc. was formed in 1989 when Hilden Manufacturing purchased Halifax Mills in South Boston, Virginia. Hilden- a well known name in textiles- has been established since 1874. It is a privately owned family business controlled by the 4th, 5th, and 6th generations of the Hargreaves family. Hilden is a vertical textile group, controlling all stages of production. The yarn preparation, weaving, bleaching, dyeing, and hemming are done in house by our meticulously trained staff of over 500 people. Hilden's products are sold in countries around the globe. The company won the prestigious Queens Award for Export Achievement in 1988 and achieved ISO 9002 Certification in 1992.
