Overview:
We're often asked, "Why Newberg Oregon?", implying that we should be located nearer to the nation's more industrialized areas. Well, our response is simple...we love it here! About an hour's drive to the west is the Pacific Ocean, with incredible seascapes that vary from rugged to serene. A few short miles to the east lies our namesake, one of America's most beautiful mountain ranges, the Cascades. Here, we feel that we have the perfect combination. We enjoy an incredible variety of outdoor activities as well as all of the benefits of a nearby metropolitan city, Portland, Oregon. Doug Geier, the president and founder of Cascade Laser Corp., saw a need in the laser industry for a service oriented company that could provide high quality laser replacement components at a fair price and with immediate delivery. Today, just as it was when the company began, most laser manufacturers are more interested in selling laser systems than they are providing components and service to the after market. Usually, components from most laser manufacturers are overpriced and the delivery times are excessively long...that's where we fit in. When we began in 1985, the industry was very small. The laser was being used in industry primarily for microelectronic applications and ceramic fabrication. Since then, the use of lasers has expanded to gigantic proportions.
