Overview:
We encourage sustained-yield, multiple-use forest management on all federal, state, and privately owned woodlands. We support governmental efforts to insure implementation of sustainable forest management practices on all tropical and temperate forests, and we will refer landowner questions about timber management to the proper forestry agencies when given the opportunity. We seek a sensible balance between the preservation and utilization of the forest, which will result in no net loss of forest land, full utilization of available timber resources, a good environment for plants and animals including humans, and long term jobs in the communities where they live. |
