Overview:
BondWave LLC (BondWave ) represents a strategic partnership between Lehman Brothers, Inc. and First Trust Portfolios L.P. in a combined effort to create new solutions in the fixed income securities markets. We recognize the increasing demand for fixed income assets in retail portfolios as investor demographics change with the retirement of the baby boomer generation. In many cases, however, brokers and advisors may have little or no experience building or maintaining fixed income portfolios and often require third-party assistance to meet the needs of new and existing clients. As an alternative to the common practice of shifting assets to third-party money managers or bond funds, we saw a need for automated portfolio manufacturing and maintenance systems that empower the broker and help the trading desk effectively serve a large number of brokers and accounts.
